As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide support to students with special educational needs, assisting in their learning and personal development within the classroom setting. This role involves working closely with not only the students but also the Teachers, Parents, and Specialists to create an inclusive and supportive educational environment. You will support students with a variety of learning difficulties including Autism, ADHD, Non-verbal, as well as students with multiple learning difficulties or challenging behaviour.
In this role you will:
1. Work within a Mainstream School with the students and aid in the education of the curriculum.
2. Work with the school SENCO to achieve goals and targets.
3. Foster a positive environment that enables the students to grow and learn.
4. Promote the love of learning and education to the students.
5. Work full-time, 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday.
We would love to hear more from you if:
1. You have experience working with SEN students or students with Learning Difficulties.
2. You have safeguarding qualifications or would be willing to obtain them.
3. You have CPDs such as Autism/ADHD Awareness, Child Development, or Mental Health, or would be willing to obtain them.
4. You have a passion for helping and caring for young people to help them achieve their full potential.
5. You have previously worked as a Teaching Assistant and are willing to take the next step in support within our industry.
6. You have a background in any of the following industries: Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker, Pastoral Assistant, Social Work.
7. You are calm, friendly, and patient when working with the children.
What you will earn:
The hourly rate will range depending on your experience and time within the industry, starting from £13.04, with the potential to increase based on experience. Please note this is a full-time role, the hours include 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday. You must have 2 years of experience to be on a higher pay rate.
