Crane Service Technician, Northeast region, Liverpool, Warrington, Manchester £35-37.5k + benefits
My client is recruiting an electrically qualified Service Technician to be based in the Northeast of England.
The role of a Crane Service Technician will involve the maintenance, repair and upgrade of customers' lifting equipment, primarily overhead gantry cranes. The work is varied and two days are never the same.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on electric overhead travelling cranes.
2. Troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.
3. Consulting with customers on repair and safety related issues.
4. Completing appropriate documentation through your mobile device.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Apprentice-trained or equivalent and conversant with electrical engineering disciplines.
2. Mechanical knowledge.
3. Experience working with overhead cranes and hoists is great, but maintaining, repairing and servicing equipment in an industrial environment is essential.
4. Good command of the English language.
5. Personable as there is regular customer contact.
6. Health & Safety awareness.
7. Ability to climb a ladder and work at heights.
8. Willingness to work extra hours – paid overtime with double time at the weekend.
9. Current driving licence.
10. Willingness to work on the On-Call Rota with enhanced premium.
