Superintendent Pharmacist Manager for Dudley Clinical Services Ltd
Our successful wholly owned subsidiary Dudley Clinical Services Ltd has been in operation since July 2013 providing a high quality dispensing service to the outpatients of The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust.

You will lead this established patient focused service and manage the thriving pharmaceutical service delivery at Corbett Hospital Outpatient Centre.
You are multi-skilled - as comfortable discussing patient care with local clinicians as you are leading medicines optimisation services with Dudley Clinical Services. Your dedication to patient care is evident in your quest to develop new and enhanced services and your clinical background enables you to ensure patient safety. You are an experienced people-manager who builds a loyal and experienced team and seeks out opportunities for CPD for yourself and your team, encouraging personal growth and development.
Main duties of the job
1. Actively manage pharmacy service delivery, making optimal use of resources available and ensuring delivery of required Trust-agreed performance standards.
2. Provide professional pharmaceutical leadership of the pharmacy service.
3. Ensure that all activity undertaken is consistent with maintaining registration of the premises with GPhC.
4. Report regularly to the DCSL Board on the performance of DCSL pharmacy services, the operation of the SLA with DG NHS FT and other business matters.
5. Manage the finances associated with the delivery of the service.
6. Lead on home delivery of medicines at DCSL and work closely with relevant stakeholders.
7. Act as Associate Controlled Drug Accountable Officer and support the DGFT CDAO in Board assurance on controlled drug matters.
8. Work closely with the DGFT Pharmacy Leadership team and be part of this group.
9. Lead on the development and implementation of a strategy for improving business and workforce skill mix within DCSL.
10. Provide clinical pharmacy services supporting safe prescribing and administration of medicines.
11. Work with medical and nursing staff to establish agreement and co-operation in the prescribing and supply of all pharmaceutical products.
12. Provide specialist pharmacist input to the HIV medicines service.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* MPharm or equivalent academic qualification
* Clinical Pharmacy Diploma/MSc/Evidence of further relevant professional development
* Current registered member of the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain
* Diploma in Management/Marketing or MBA
* Formal leadership training and/or qualification
Experience
* Significant experience in hospital pharmacy
* Experience of managing a department or specialist area within hospital pharmacy
* Experience of staff management and leadership
Skills
* Understanding of the range of pharmacy services
* Understanding of clinical effectiveness and ability to influence clinical decision making
* Understanding of clinical governance and ability to influence patient safety
