Are you ready to shape the future of BI at Virgin Atlantic? As the Manager - BI & Reporting, you will develop and implement enterprise-wide BI reporting strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and establishing governance policies, standards, and best practices. Your leadership will drive the creation of high-impact reports and dashboards tailored to directorate needs, utilizing best practices in data visualization and storytelling to deliver insights that matter.
In this role, you will support the development and maintenance of the semantic layer and data models, working closely with data engineers and architects to ensure optimal performance for self-serve reporting and analysis. Your expertise will help set the foundation for reliable and scalable BI solutions across the organization.
You will also play a key role in coaching and developing BI developers and product analysts, fostering a vibrant community of practice among the spoke analyst community to enhance BI capabilities, promote knowledge sharing, and drive collaboration. As the leader of the BI reporting team, you'll ensure they have the tools and technologies needed to succeed, maintaining data lineage and certification for trusted and consistent reporting.

Day to day
* Support the development of the company's analytics strategy and lead the implementation of advanced analytics projects.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and analyse business requirements.
* Develop and manage a team of analysts to deliver actionable insights and recommendations within each project.
* Drive the development and enhancement of data models, algorithms, and statistical techniques.
* Facilitate the seamless completion of analytics projects while offering guidance on effective approaches.
* Compete in the market by staying up to date with the latest advancements in analytics technologies and applied methodologies.
About you
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as Information Technology, Data Science or Mathematics.
* Strict attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Exceptional leadership and communication skills, including coaching of analysts within the team and wider business, to effectively collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
* Strong experience in data analytics, including data manipulation, visualisation, and statistical analysis.
* Can demonstrate strong data modelling techniques catering for different personas along with competency in SQL coding.
* Proven track record of successfully leading & implementing data analytics projects and driving business outcomes.
