Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Voluntary Services Department, based at Royal Sussex County Hospital for 1 year maternity cover. We are looking for someone with experience of working in a hospital environment to join our team as the Voluntary Services On-boarding & Engagement Coordinator. The purpose of this role is to support effective and efficient use of volunteers on the wards and hospital departments by inducting, mentoring, training and supporting all volunteers in hospital departments. Main duties of the job To be involved in the recruitment and on-boarding of new volunteers within the Trust. To promote volunteering within the trust by attending staff induction in order to inform and educate staff of volunteers and their remit To monitor and evaluate the performance and appropriateness of volunteer placements.
