You will be a Manager within the Cyber Risk team helping both grow our business and ensure our teams deliver high quality advice to clients. You should expect to be involved in a wide range of challenging engagements, ranging from major executive level cyber exercises and threat reviews, through optimisation of client security controls and cyber security programmes, in addition to providing specialist support on cyber considerations within Deals (mergers, acquisitions and divestments).
What will you be doing?
As a Manager, we expect you to understand the business issues and to be able to translate complex cyber security issues into straightforward, credible, jargon free advice to our clients; and delivering the support they require.
1. Working in a team of c. 70 – mostly in UK with a small offshore team.
2. Work with the broader Deal Advisory team to develop cyber-related opportunities and deliver deals related cyber engagements.
3. You will be responsible for performance management of an allocation of assistant managers and below within cyber risk and strategy.
4. Working regularly with client stakeholders – typically Heads of cyber security (or equivalent) in to identify, develop and deliver client engagements to help clients in defining, identifying and managing cyber risk.
5. Responsible for managing complex cyber risk engagements at our largest clients.
6. Responsible for the quality of content and advice to clients as engagement manager.
What will you need to do it?
1. Proven track record in cyber security environment within professional services or an in-house information security function.
2. Track record of showing an understanding of how organisations operate, as well as technology, threat and regulatory issues faced by clients.
3. Proven experience of delivering one or more of the following areas: strategy, transformation, governance, cyber resilience, identity and access management.
4. Proven experience of successfully managing complex cyber security services in a commercial environment, ensuring the delivery of high quality work on time and to budget.
5. Proven ability to lead work at sustained levels of high intensity, and inspire drive and resilience in others.
6. Proven ability to analyse problems, identify core issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
7. Proven ability in taking appropriate action after monitoring/reviewing the progress and performance of others.
8. Understanding of a wide range of information security and IT methodologies, principles, technologies and techniques.
9. Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), negotiation and project management skills.
10. Ability to develop excellent relationships both internally and with clients at a senior level.
11. A genuine interest and desire to work in the cyber security field.
12. Knowledge of a broad range of cyber security topics e.g. governance, identity and access management, supply chain risks, security operations, incident management etc.
13. A good understanding of technology platforms.
Skills we’d love to see/Amazing Extras:
Recognised cyber security qualifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, M.Inst ISP, etc.), or comparable experience.
