Job Description: Engineering Supervisor
We are looking for an experienced and keen Engineering Supervisor to join our Team at Ruskington Site. Execute a hands-on approach to planned and unplanned maintenance activities to agreed standards, ensuring the engineering team are working safely at all times.
Ensure assets are ready to produce products that are of an excellent quality, dispatched on time in full to the satisfaction of our customers.
Ensure a robust and clearly communicated safe system of work is applied for all activities that the engineering team undertake.
Coach, train, and give advice and understanding to Engineering colleagues to achieve continual improvements in training and knowledge of the engineering team.
Act with integrity at all times to build a culture of a professional engineering team with proactive equipment-focussed continuous improvement skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver on relevant Key Performance Indicators.
2. Ensure the management operating systems for the area are accurately managed, maintained, and developed to enable responsive fact-based management of the operation.
3. Ensure that all aspects of area operation are adequately resourced and scheduled with the correct skill levels to deliver output and quality objectives, and to provide legal compliance.
4. Create and sustain a highly-motivated team with a developing set of skills for continuous improvement of team performance.
5. Personally set the standard for the team and monitor performance.
6. Ensure clarity of role for team members to include assigning tasks, coaching, following up, and giving feedback to individuals.
7. Support improvement projects.
8. Coordinate exceptional activity such as product trials, project work, changes to standard working patterns, etc.
9. Conduct data analysis and be able to plot trends and spot opportunities.
10. Act as deputy to the Retail Engineer Manager.
11. Oversee and monitor the performance of external contractors who work on the site.

1. Has detailed knowledge of all site Engineering systems, processes, and procedures.
2. Recognised as having transferable management skills.
3. Clearly understands and drives KPI improvement under the five manufacturing pillars.
4. Actively encourages, organises, and applies lean techniques and processes.
5. Delivers quality and accuracy in own and team's work.
6. Delivers high standards of workplace standards.
7. Effectively uses resources available, people, utilities, and materials.
8. Able to cope under pressure and flex with peaks in personal workload.
9. Able to use and understand management operating systems and IT-based packages.
10. Able to anticipate/identify problems and use available resources to provide effective solutions.
11. Able to act on decisions with the corresponding level of urgency.
