This role involves ensuring the Salons are kept fully equipped and stocked to run as a commercial business. The Salons Operations Supervisor has responsibility to maintain the salons and ensure they are kept safe, tidy and hygienic. Key Responsibilities: To facilitate the daily operation of Retreat Hair & Beauty Salons within the Department as appropriate To assist with the management of Retreat hair & Beauty Salons and promote high levels of customer service To co-ordinate all Retreat bookings and ensure sufficient clients are available for all sessions To record and prepare any monies for banking collection and generate any financial paperwork To actively promote and market the Salons to support income and student recruitment To achieve customer numbers and financial targets To use creativity and innovation to constantly review and bring a fresh impetus to the commercial operations To support teachers and assessors with assessment opportunities To support students with local and national competitions Ensure high levels of cleanliness are maintained To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you: Hairdressing or beauty therapy qualifications at level 3 or above Experience of working in a busy salon environment Evidence of commitment to professional development A good standard of Maths and English Strong organisational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Diversity and Inclusion: Equality, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion are central to the work of City of Portsmouth College.
