Join the Medical Illustration team at NHS Lanarkshire as a Medical Illustration Clinical/Admin Support Worker. This role offers a unique opportunity to support vital medical services while contributing to the production of high-quality clinical images and visual materials.
To assist professional staff in managing patients and supporting the delivery of medical illustration services across multiple sites. This includes providing reprographic and administrative support to ensure the efficient functioning of the department. The post holder will also assist in the processing and management of clinical images in alignment with departmental and NHS Lanarkshire standards

What we'll need you to bring
Experience in patient interaction and excellent communication skills.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Image manipulation software on both PC and Apple Mac systems.
Familiarity with reprographic systems and clinical image management software.
Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role.
Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality requirements.
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
Educated to standard grade level or experience in a similar role
Experience on both PC & Apple Mac systems
Experience in dealing with service users or members of the public in a courteous and empathetic manner
Previous experience in NHS
Knowledge of Trakcare
Experience of reprographic equipment
Knowledge of image processing
Knowledge of PC and Apple Mac systems and associated software:
Windows, Microsoft Office packages and Adobe Creative Suite products
Awareness of health and safety regulations relevant to an administrative role
Understanding of and adherence to confidentiality and data protection regulations
Well-developed skills in customer care
Good organisational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation
Ability to prioritise work and work on own initiative whilst under pressure
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
Accurate data entry and record-keeping skills
Ability to deal with peaks and troughs of workload, including periods of heavydemand
Operation of digital volume and large format printers

Fixed Term or Secondment for 12 months

Please note this is a fixed term post for 12 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in University Hospital Hairmyres.
The working pattern for this role Mon-Fri; 9:00-5:00
