Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Lockerbie, Scotland
Salary: £45k to £48k
Full time, permanent
Shift pattern: Three-shift pattern from Monday to Friday
About the Role:
We are looking to appoint an electrical maintenance engineer at our Lockerbie site, certified 17th or 18th edition. Reporting to the shift engineering supervisors, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs, preventative and reactive maintenance across our manufacturing site.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Carrying out repairs and overhauls in the workshops.
2. Following a detailed planned preventative maintenance schedule.
3. Fault finding/diagnosing technical process issues to resolve any breakdowns with minimal downtime and impact on production.
4. Working safely at all times, complying with and using permit systems, method statements, dynamic risk assessments, etc.
5. Assisting in maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping and cleanliness.
6. Assisting management in driving positive change within the business and actively promoting a one-team ethic throughout the site.
Skills and Experience:
1. Must have a recognised engineering/electrical apprenticeship or similar qualification.
2. Preferably 3-5 years engineering/electrical experience gained within a manufacturing environment.
3. Experience in motor control circuits and PLC logic would be an advantage.
4. Basic computer skills including data entry.
5. A flexible approach to work, understanding that you may undertake additional or other duties necessary to meet the needs of the company.
6. Previous experience in the timber industry is advantageous.
