Reporting to the Director of Care, the Registered Nurse will play a crucial role in providing high-quality resident care and ensuring the well-being of the residents.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Registered Nurse, you will be accountable for the assessment and planning of resident needs, delivery of skilled procedures, medication administration and documentation in accordance with quality management, legislative requirements, and Sienna Senior Living standards.
How You’ll Succeed:
1. Provide Resident Care and Services:
Utilizes sound nursing practice principles, ensuring delivery of excellent nursing and personal care. Collaborate with the resident or their substitute decision maker about their needs, preferences, and health status at move in, changes in status, and ongoing assessment as required.
2. Provide Supervision, Assistance & Oversight:
Demonstrates a professional working knowledge of all equipment used in the delivery of nursing care. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of the resident.
3. Provide Leadership and Guidance:
Acts as a role model for nursing team members performing within the professional guidelines of the College of Nurses of Ontario. Participates and/or delivers in-services and education with other nursing and team members as required.
Who you are:
1. Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent
2. Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
3. Knowledgeable with nursing process, developments, and current trends in the geriatric care field
4. Compassionate and dedicated to meaningful work that supports seniors in living with comfort, dignity, and respect
5. Effective verbal and written English communication skills required
6. Demonstrated administrative and computer skills with experience in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
7. Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
8. Demonstrated ability to set priorities and organize work in response to patient needs
9. Proficiency in both official languages, French and English, is considered an asset
What you need to know:
