Prospero Teaching are seeking to appoint a Behaviour Support Worker into a warm and inclusive school in Northern Winchester. The successful candidate must be dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for all pupils. They will be passionate about ensuring that every child thrives, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and those who may display challenging or physical behaviours.
About the Role:
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will:

Work closely with pupils who have SEN, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs.
Support the management of challenging and sometimes physical behaviours in a calm and professional manner.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to implement behaviour and learning strategies.
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to help them feel safe and supported.
Use de-escalation techniques to manage behavioural incidents effectively.
Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Hours - Standard working hours 8.30am-3:15pm (times may vary).
Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs.
- Experience working with children exhibiting challenging behaviours.
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
