We are an award winning academy who are now recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join us on a permanent basis. The role of Teaching Assistant is crucial in promoting the learning and personal development of all pupils; including but not exclusively, those with special education needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing support to the Teacher in the planning, delivery andand the evaluation of learning activities
• Consistently and effectively implementing agreed behaviour management strategies
• Working 1-2-1 as required to support students access learning within the classroom environment
• Motivating and encouraging students by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks
We are seeking candidates with the following skills and experience:
• Experience of establishing positive relationships with studentsempathise with theirneeds (desirable)
• Knowledge of SEN (desirable)
• Maths and English GCSE Grade A- C or equivalent
• Confident in supervising children during activities indoors and outdoors
• Patient, calm and relaxedwith an enthusiastic approach to learning
