We are currently seeking a Service Manager to manage a growing team of 6 Field Service Engineers and 2 Service Administrators. Our client designs and manufactures electrical products supplying into the UK power network and other high profile customers.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the efficient & effective operation of the Service Department
- To provide technical support to after-sales customers and service engineers
- To coordinate technical training to staff and customers as necessary.
- To provide technical assistance to sales enquiries/contracts.
- P&L responsibility for the service department.
- To seek out ways to grow revenue and profit of the service department.
- Ensure best use is made of in house labour for any site work
- Ensure H&S is adhered to at all times providing regular updates to Field Service Engineers
Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications/experience:
- qualified to HND/HNC Electrical/Electronics Engineering or similar
- 18th edition wiring regs desirable
- experience of UPS, Batteries and Battery Chargers desirable
- previous experience as Service Engineer / Supervisor / Manager desirable
