About the job We’re looking for a field-based Account Director to join our talented team at AutoConvert, our in-house automotive finance technology platform which powers our automotive finance consumer journey on Auto Trader and helps our customers optimise their automotive finance operations. As an Account Director you will develop, inspire and grow lasting relationships with our largest customers – a mix of retailers and brokers who use our AutoConvert product. Our mission is to help them achieve great results through our fantastic automotive finance digital solutions, our ever-evolving multi-faceted digital marketplace, and our passion for delivering exceptional service. You’ll spend the majority of your time on the road with national role, with travel to our offices in London and Manchester. You will carry out dealership and broker visits, present in workshops, fix problems and create opportunities. Your resilient and strategic approach will allow you to build trusted customer relationships and help them to achieve their long and short-term automotive sales and finance commercial objectives. This role plays a huge role in the digital transformation of our customers and the automotive industry; we therefore need you to be passionate about customer success and driving return on investment to our retailers and brokers What we're looking for Experience working with brokers in an automotive sales and / or finance arena and working with digital products or solutions in a field based capacity. Proven success and full responsibility in retaining and growing revenue in a business to business (B2B) Account Management or Automotive Sales Management role Evidence of commercial acumen with the ability to understand a client’s business needs and spot potential opportunity through the effective application of data and market insight. Stakeholder management experience up to Director/C-Suite level, this includes experience working with multiple stakeholders and be comfortable working with all levels on staff. Confidence in using account planning practices to progress your customer relationships to meet both long- and short-term strategic objectives. The ability to deliver engaging presentations and effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced environment You will have a good understanding of the current regulatory and legislative challenges in the automotive finance industry as well as the finance eco-system and be confident in demonstrating the role of Retailers, Brokers and Technology Providers. Benefits We’re offering a salary of £45,000 – £55,000, plus car allowance. You also get an additional 10% of your salary awarded to you in shares each year. These awarded shares will become yours in yearly instalments over the next three years, and you can choose to either sell them or keep them as shares.
