An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Wales Fertility Institute (WFI) to work as a Specialty Doctor in Reproductive Medicine.
This post is for a highly motivated individual to join a well-established multidisciplinary team at the Wales Fertility Institute.
The post is a Full Time position - 10 sessions per week with on-call commitment included. This is a permanent appointment and will commence as soon as possible subject to all pre-employment checks.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will join the clinical team of three consultants, one Specialist grade and one Specialty Doctor in providing a complete range of services, as well as training junior medical and nursing staff. The post holder will be expected to participate in all activities of the general fertility and assisted reproductive technology (ART) service, including outpatient clinics, theatre lists and IVF procedures (egg retrievals, embryo transfers, fertility scanning etc.). The successful candidate will also support the clinical team in providing on-call cover for the Reproductive Medicine service during evenings and weekends on a 1:4 basis. The post holder will be expected to play a key role in the ongoing development of the Fertility service and will work alongside the Clinical Lead and senior management team to further develop the fertility preservation service.

1. Experience at ST3 or higher i.e., SAS grade
2. Experience of working in an IVF setting including patient planning, egg collection, and embryo transfers

5. Experience in general Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Desirable
