Job description: Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant.

Job purpose: This job opportunity has become available due to the employer wishing to have 1:1 support with an individual, rather than an agency. Due to immune deficiency affecting one of the children, the family has to be cautious of who enters their home, therefore they would feel more comfortable having an individual working for them.
Responsibilities:
1. Domestic care: Vacuuming, washing, laundry, and any other tasks deemed necessary if the employer cannot complete.
2. Supervising children whilst employer is having personal care.
3. Accompany with food shopping: no car required, employer uses mobility scooter to visit shops, 5 minute walk from home.
4. Assist with food preparation i.e. peeling vegetables.

Summary terms and conditions:
* The rate of pay for this position is £11.68 per hour.
* Hours and times of work: Weekday hours, no weekend working. Flexible role for 7 hours a week with the view of increase to 10 hours per week. Days and times to be discussed at interview.
* The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
* This position requires the employee to complete the following free annual training: GDPR, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, COSHH, Manual Handling of Objects.
Post is subject to the following:
* A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
* Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
* Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
