We are looking for a General Manager to modernise and restructure the venue, ensuring it aligns with contemporary trends while maintaining our signature fusion of Asian-inspired dishes and bar offerings.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced General Manager with a strong background in managing bars, front-of-house, and restaurant operations, ideally within an Asian fusion or similar dining setting. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced environment and has a passion for driving food and beverage sales, enhancing customer experience, and streamlining operations. The ideal candidate will be skilled at implementing innovative ideas to attract guests, while ensuring a seamless dining and bar experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the bar and restaurant, ensuring smooth service and high standards of hospitality, particularly during busy periods.
Lead and motivate a team, ensuring exceptional customer service and an inviting atmosphere that reflects the unique character of the venue.
Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to drive food and beverage sales, enhancing the menu and drink offerings to align with the Asian fusion theme.
Implement operational processes that improve efficiency and increase profitability.
Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and forecasting, ensuring the venue meets revenue targets.
Stay ahead of dining and nightlife trends, introducing new promotions, events, and seasonal menus to keep the venue competitive and attractive to guests.
Manage stock levels ensuring effective purchasing and inventory control.
Develop and execute marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to increase day-time footfall.
Maintain a positive and energetic work environment, promoting teamwork and staff development.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and food hygiene standards, particularly for a bar and restaurant setting.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a General Manager or senior management role within a late-night bar, or similar restaurant setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Extensive knowledge of bar operations, including cocktail creation and drinks promotions, especially in a venue with a distinct food offering.
Experience with front-of-house and back-of-house restaurant management.
A track record of successfully driving food and beverage sales, with the ability to create unique offerings that appeal to the venue's target market.
Knowledge of dining and nightlife trends, and the ability to introduce innovative ideas to keep the venue fresh and exciting.
Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to create a warm and memorable experience for guests.
Experience in marketing, promotions, and event management is highly desirable.
Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and food hygiene standards.
