An opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Financial Controller to join Horizon Care and Education on a 6-month fixed term contract.
The role involves working within a growing organisation which provides children's homes, specialist education and supported accommodation across England, with the aim of supporting young people to flourish and thrive regardless of the challenges they have faced.
The role will be primarily home based but will involve travel to meet senior management and key stakeholders.

We require our successful candidate to be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (AAT) and be qualified to Masters or equivalent level.
As our Commercial Financial Controller you will be required to:
* Take the strategic lead in P & L Management and control
* Have experience in a Commercial Business Partner Role.
* Ensure that an organisation meets the necessary tax, permit and licensing requirements
* Collaborate with an executive team in establishing more effective processes and controls to ensure the integrity of a company's ledger
* Oversee all financial control activities, including the review and analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and disclosures
* Provide executive management with accurate and comprehensive financial information to guide effective policy making and financial strategizing
* Summarise budget trends, analyse deficiencies and report variances to executives
* Provide external auditors with the necessary documentation and support
* Take care of tax preparation duties or liaise with external tax accountants for tax preparation
