For Falkirk Council employees this is a secondment opportunity. Prior to application please obtain confirmation from your current Line Manager that you can be released to take up this secondment opportunity, should you be successful.
We are looking for dynamic, motivated and forward-thinking Community Learning and Development (CLD) Support Worker to join our CLD Families team. This exciting opportunity requires someone who is passionate about making a difference.
Funded as part of Falkirk’s Whole Family Wellbeing suite of tests of change, our project aims to develop a community hub, with links to Dunipace Primary School, that will provide bespoke support and co-designed learning opportunities that meet the needs and aspirations of parents/carers and families
By working alongside parent/carers, either one to one or in groups in a community based setting, you will ensure that the voice of families is at the heart of decision making on activities and experiences that contribute to meeting the following outcomes:
* improved life chances through learning, personal development and active citizenship
* build stronger, more resilient, supportive, influential and inclusive communities.
* improvements in mental health and wellbeing
The project will adopt an early intervention and prevention approach to working with families.
In order to understand and help parents/carers overcome barriers to participating in the project, you will have a proven track record of working with families who have been impacted by poverty, faced significant challenges or delivering family learning in a community setting.
The ability to work with partners to maximise opportunities and pathways is essential.
It is expected that you will:
* Be registered or aim to working towards registration with the Community Learning and Development Standards Council.
These posts are temporary until June 2026 due to service requirement.
