The Role
•Support the Team Leader in the delivery of the highways technical approvals function in order to deliver the objectives of the team and the delivery of strategies, programmes and operational procedures
•To assist in managing the technical approval process for third party works on the public highway network
•Provide professional and technical advice and support as required to enable the Council to undertake its duties as Highways Authority.
•Analyse engineering problems, apply technical expertise and engineering judgment and produce innovative solutions through the use of complex interactive computer systems to meet legal and management objectives.
•Identify, prepare, design, plan, programme and order works and services.
About You
•Experience in drainage design including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS)
•Competence in the use of AutoCAD and Hydraulic modelling – preferably Microdrainage and/or Civils 3DMembership of a relevant Professional Institution.
•Evidence of continuous professional development.
•Good knowledge and application of design procedures, guidance and standards and good practice documents
•Good knowledge of and application of Health and Safety legislation
