We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled and experienced teacher to lead our Dance department.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualities:
* Be a talented, inspirational, and enthusiastic teacher who is able to engage with all students and promote a love of the subject.
* Have a passion for performing arts and musical theatre and be enthusiastic about providing opportunities to grow student participation and performance.
* Be an inspirational teacher who can demonstrate and model outstanding practice to support the development of colleagues.
* Be able to set and model high expectations that promote an exceptional climate for learning in the department.
* Be responsible for the quality of education, quality assurance processes and improvement planning for dance.
* Develop an excellent academic and extra-curricular curriculum that appeals to a wide range of students.
Dance is a popular subject that is taught from Key Stage 3–5, with students following the AQA specification for GCSE and A level at Key Stage 5. The faculty also offers a vibrant enrichment programme outside of the classroom, including successfully competing in the national competition ‘Dance Live’.
