The successful applicant will join the senior team of two consultants, one Specialist grade and one specialty Doctor in providing a complete range of services, as well as managing and training junior medical and nursing staff. The post holder will be expected to participate in all activities of the consultant-led general fertility and assisted reproductive technology (ART) service, including outpatient clinics, theatre lists and IVF procedures (egg retrievals, embryo transfers, fertility scanning etc.). The successful candidate will also support the senior team in providing on-call cover for the Reproductive Medicine service during evenings and weekends on a 1:4 basis.The post holder will be expected to play a key role in the on-going development of the Fertility service and will work alongside the Clinical Lead and senior management team to further develop the fertility preservation service.

This post is for a highly motivated individual to join a well-established multidisciplinary team at the Wales Fertility Institute.
The post is a Full Time 10 session permanent appointment and will commence as soon as possible., Swansea Bay University Health Board has responsibility for the health of around 390,000 people in the Neath Port Talbot and Swansea areas, with a budget of around £1 billion and employing 12,500 people. We are a University Health Board working in partnership with Swansea University, Swansea School of Medicine, the School of Health Science and the Institute of Life Science. The HB has three major hospitals providing a range of services: Morriston and Singleton hospitals in Swansea and Neath Port Talbot hospital in Baglan, Port Talbot.
Mental Health and learning Disabilities services are provided both in hospital settings (Cefn Coed Hospital, Swansea Caswell clinic and Taith Newydd at Glanrhyd Bridgend) and other community settings.
We also have community hospital and primary care resource centres providing clinical services outside the main hospitals.
