We are seeking an enthusiastic committed professional to join us as a Caretaker
The successful candidate will:
· Gardening and performing landscape duties or supervising others in these roles
· Inspecting the building, including heating, cooling, lighting and alarm systems to make sure they are in good working order
· Performing basic repairs and maintenance tasks as required
· Sourcing, booking and supervising contractors for major repairs
· Monitoring cleaning materials, tools, and furniture and reordering as required
· Managing bookings for any buildings or rooms available for hire
· Opening building at the start of the day and locking all doors and windows when not in operation
· Adhering to the company’s safety policies to create a safe working environment for everyone
Our ideal candidate will have:
· A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
· At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
· Access to a vehicle is required due to this role being at two services

At both Broadwood School and Moorlands View School:
Broadwood School is a specialist setting set in the idyllic hills of Halifax with provision to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. Through targeted interventions such as Lego Therapy, Drawing and Talking and Speech and Language, we aim to encourage pupils to develop their skills around self-regulation, managing emotions and effective communication.
Moorlands View School is a welcoming and nurturing provision. A co-educational independent special school that provides a supportive and personalised education programme for pupils aged between 7-16. The school caters for pupils with complex social emotional and mental health needs.
The majority of our pupils are Children Looked After, living in Keys Group residential homes in the local area. Moorlands View School and Broadwood School provides a therapeutic informed approach and specialist support in a nurturing environment.
