In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England.
The purpose of this role is to be the key point of contact for developing, maintaining, reviewing and issuing departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to ensure full visibility, availability and measure of available stock levels and recommendations on inventory usage through the analysis and validation of data. Working in line with overall targets, this role is a key point of contact for the wider demand management team across Safran Seats Aftermarket. An office-based role, it demands an analytical individual who can recommend improvements and implement changes to improve visibility of accurate data to the AM Operations team across the seats business and the end user (Customer). With a direct report of an inventory analyst, the senior will ensure necessary tasks are completed in line with process and business need in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work with Programme Management Team and Customers to develop, implement and co-ordinate any stocking agreements and ensure all supply chain data is accurate and up to date.
2. Co-ordinate Aftermarket Buyer Furnished equipment (BFE) needs across SGB BU by individual account liaising with Internal BU departments and Safran Seats Services Front Offices Worldwide.
3. Support regular Inventory report requirements, design and implement reports in line with business change and recommend actions based on findings and act upon them as agreed within process.
4. Co-ordinate all safety stock and forecast implementation processes across ERP system for finished goods and component parts.
5. Actively co-ordinate the stock obsolescence process to ensure inventory is reviewed regularly.
6. Review and recommend adjustments to controlled policies and procedures within the Company's BMS (Business Management System) and local work instructions to support all process pertinent to this role.
7. Train and manage Inventory Analyst in line with daily tasks identified by business needs.
Job Requirements
Candidate skills:
1. Good level of ERP understanding.
2. General manufacturing awareness (an understanding the general principles of manufacturing).
3. Advanced Excel User.
4. Minimum 2 years experience of supply chain.
5. Good standard of English and numeracy.
6. Knowledge of aftermarket.
7. Experience working in high volume, fast paced environment.
