The Role We are looking for Paralegal to join our market lead Disease practice in either Manchester, Liverpool or Newcastle We are interested in speaking to experienced Paralegals who have experience in managing a caseload of NIHL claims along with handling cases through to trial. You'll be encouraged and supported to realise your full potential, actively participating and collaborating with senior fee earners and partners, with exposure to clients as much as possible. Key Responsibilities Your ambition to develop your career and delivering exceptional outcomes will play an important role in growing success for yourself and our firm. The successful applicant will: Manage a caseload of NIHL claims. Draft Court documents within the Civil Procedure. Instruction Counsel and experts where appropriate. Assessing liability and quantum and preparing reports/advice. Make and respond to offers and negotiate settlement of both liability and quantum as and when necessary. Manage client MI expectations and SLA requirements. Negotiating fixed recoverable costs and disbursements. Essential Skills & Experience Previous paralegal experience within Disease setting A high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills. The ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently by managing time in a fast paced environment. A professional manner with the ability to build relationships internally and externally.
