Nwando Care, a domiciliary care company is recruiting for Community Care Workers. This is a door to door care service visiting service users who have various health conditions, in line with the care plan.
Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate Community Care Worker to join our team in providing personal care and ongoing daily support to the vulnerable in the community. Nwando Care is an organisation with a personal touch to home care seeing our own loved ones at the heart of care. Therefore, our ethos and approach is to replicate the quality we want to see!
Duties
- Provide personal care assistance to individuals requiring support in their daily activities.
- Assist with breakfast, lunch and/or tea/dinner to the clients preferences!
- TALK - we want carers willing to conversate, understand and have a chat with our elderly clients, as they are sometimes lonely and unable to see people multiple times per day.
- Help with household tasks such as cleaning and laundry
- Support individuals with specific conditions - such as schizophrenia, Dementia, Autism, Learning disabilities and a variety of needs!
Requirements
- Previous experience in the UK - as our social care system is unique NOT ABROAD
- Ability to perform and complete the necessary training required
- A valid driving licence with a car will be desirable
- Strong communication skills and a caring nature
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
Pay: £11.50-£14.00 per hour, comprehensive benefits package with 30 days (inclusive BH, pro rata for part-time employees, employee of the month award, best carer award- £500, blue light card discount and many more)
Expected hours: 35-40 hrs per week (for students up to 20 hrs subject to their eligibility)

• 1-2 hours or longer
• Morning, day or evening shift
Workdays:
• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
• Weekends only
