Consisting of four locations—the main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily; the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario. The JBS Canada facility in Brooks has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primals, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. At the multi-protein Mountain Creek Farms case-ready facility in Calgary, JBS Canada produces value-added products including marinated, portion sized, multi-pack options, kebabs and much more. JBS Ontario in Belleville produces fresh meat and seafood products for leading retailers in Canada.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Directs and supervises Fabrication Supervisors to assure correct, accurate, and timely execution of Production orders and directions of the Production Superintendent and Plant General Manager.
* Ensures the achievement of labor standards, production schedules, and timely deliveries on all production orders by training and motivating employees and by continuous evaluation and enforcement of Good Manufacturing Principles.
* Maintains efficient and safe work practices by cooperating with the Human Resources, Safety, Abilities, and Maintenance Departments.
* Ensures compliance with all quality standards by working with Quality Assurance to meet production standards.
* Provides counseling to Production Supervisors and plant personnel, maintaining open lines of communication.
* Counsels with Production Supervisors and team members to manage absenteeism, turnover, and safety.
* Assists in the selection, orientation, and training of all fabrication team members.
* Analyzes production operations to identify improvements for plant profitability and efficiency.
* Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Superintendent and Plant General Manager.
Qualifications and Competencies
* Completion of high school required; Post Secondary Education in Business, Management, Animal Science or related field will be an asset.
* 3 to 5 years of supervisory work experience in a beef processing facility preferred.
* Effective communication skills to lead, motivate, coach, mentor, and resolve employee conflict.
* Self-starter with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Flexible to work shifts.
* Knowledge of HACCP and Health & Safety concerns and GMP.
* Previous experience in the food processing industry is required.
* Criminal Record Check is required.
* Well versed in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with team members and management.
* Excellent planning, organizational, and time-management skills.
* Ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
* Strong supervisory or Management skills in dealing with a wide spectrum of individuals.
* Excellent communication & collaboration skills; Team Player.
Work Site Environment: Noisy, Odours, Hot, Cold/refrigerated.
