Are you a qualified registered nurse aspiring to work with a dynamic team at the day surgery setting? We are looking for an enthusiastic senior staff nurse/ deputy Sister to join our team.
To be responsible for providing skilled clinical leadership, support for the Day Surgery Unit Nurses, and to participate in the assessment of patient care needs and to implement and maintain the agreed standards of care.
You will need to be a forward thinking, motivated professional nurse who is committed to providing a high standard of holistic care and can demonstrate a caring commitment to working in partnership with patients and their families. The successful applicant will assist in delivering high quality care ensuring effective flow of patients. The post holder will support of the ward manager; ensuring staff have an annual appraisal and appropriate training. You will assist the ward manager with other managerial duties in their absence. You will assist the ward manager to provide clinical leadership, monitor nursing standards and ensure compliance within the NMC standards.
To be successful, you will need to be a qualified RGN with a valid NMC registration. Applicants must have excellent customer care, communication and interpersonal skills and be flexible and able to adapt to and support change in this growing and developing environment. 1. Planning, delivering and evaluation of patient care
2. Management of pre and post-operative team within DS
3. Implementing local protocols and standards with members of the Multi-Disciplinary Tea
4. Effective Management of resources within the departmen
5. Participate in clinical trials and researc
6. Deputise for the Day Surgery Ward Manager when require
7. Providing expert clinical advice to nurses and members of the multi-disciplinary team
