Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a primary school setting? Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work full-time in primary schools across Plymouth for the summer term.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to teachers and students, ensuring a positive and effective learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
* Working with small groups or on a one-to-one basis with pupils who need additional support
* Assisting with learning activities, assessments, and pupil engagement
* Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning space for all students
* Encouraging pupil participation and fostering a love for learning
* Providing support for students with SEND and additional needs as required
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* Previous experience working in a UK-based primary school
* A passion for education and supporting young learners
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A proactive and adaptable approach to working in different classroom settings
* The ability to manage behaviour effectively and support children with varying needs
* A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)

* Hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS on the update service
* Provide two professional references, including one from a recent educational role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
