Job Description:
An opportunity has arisen to join our Components Manufacturing Team as a Manual Operator.
The Role:
* Broddle and rosler cams and cranks.
* Operate CNC machines.
* In-process inspection.
* Sup assembly (hanging kit).
* Laser etching parts.
* Balance/superfinish cranks.
* Use of manual machines.
* Work in a production line based environment.
* Ensure quality of parts meet the process requirement before moving forward.
* Adopt a Stop, Call, Wait mentality.
* Use hand tools and manual machines (lathes, linishers, etc.).
* Book daily tasks and quantities accurately.
* Complete tasks/targets within specific timeframes and relay progress to leadership.
* Read and follow work instructions according to process requirement and strictly adhere to them.
* Record downtime information on specific equipment.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the team.
* Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
* Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal person will hold the below skills and experience:
* Automotive background preferred although not essential, as full training will be provided.
* Be able to learn and use hand tools/machinery in a safe & effective manner.
* Have a keen eye for detail.
* Basic numerical and computer skills.
* Change-oriented and keen to promote forward thinking.
* Effective communicator both verbal and written.
* Work on own or as part of a team.
* Be flexible and punctual.
* Committed and enthusiastic.
This role will be on a fixed-term basis working alternate late and early shifts.
Week 1:
Monday - Thursday: 06:00 to 14:00
Friday - 06:00 to 13:00
Week 2:
Monday - Thursday: 14:00 to 22:00
Friday - 13:00 to 20:00
