Job description
Prospero Teaching are currently seeking experienced Tutors with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to provide 1:1 educational support to students in Swindon .
At Prospero Teaching, we work closely with the local authorities, mainstream schools, and SEND Teams in the Swindon area and we specialise in providing qualified and experienced tutors to work with children in looked after care (LAC/CLA), pupils in mainstream schools that require additional educational support and young people who are not currently accessing mainstream education.
We are currently looking to expand our team of tutors who provide 1:1 and small group support to students. Successfully appointed tutors will be required to deliver core subject support (English, Maths & Science) and will be delivering anywhere from 2 to 30 hours per week .
Sessions will be taking place face-to-face at student’s homes, their schools, and potentially local community hubs too. Applicants must therefore be willing to travel for their sessions as well as being available to work online when required. Further knowledge of the student’s ability and targets for education will be provided, but you will be expected to gather your own resources and deliver the curriculum you deem fit based on your observations.
To be considered as a Tutor, you must hold a QTS, have experience working with a variety of SEND, and have a background in teaching or private tutoring. If you can only provide 1 of the above core subjects, please still apply stating your subject specialism as you will still be considered.
