Kent is looking for a Project Manager to be based in Aberdeen to support a new opportunity within the EMEA Projects Business Unit. Skills & Responsibilities:
* Closely interfaces with Business Development to establish operations guidelines for opportunities and represent projects group in client interactions.
* Leads and manages active offshore and onshore tenders including stakeholder engagement (clients, supply chain and external)
* Responsible for overseeing and managing the successful execution of both onshore and offshore tenders and projects. This includes the estimation, development, negotiation, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
* Ensure the projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and on budget, while adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring projects are carried out in compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* Manages the initial mobilisation of the core project team to ensure that all necessary activities are reviewed with actions appropriately assigned, timescales agreed, and relevant parties briefed, with new communication channels established where necessary.
* Accountable for the entire project budget and contract. Coordinates all activities for the successful initiation, execution, and close-out of the project within project schedule and contractual requirements.
* Support and lead existing and future bids (many contract forms but mainly EPC/EPCM/PMC) with a view to managing the delivery of projects both in bid and execution phases, interfacing with clients and initiating start-up.
* Approves the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and subsidiary coordination procedures for the project. Ensures effective implementation and supports Project and Corporate Quality Audits where necessary.
* Provide an interface with the Estimating and Proposals group to seamlessly lead a tender package in close collaboration with our Global E&P group.
* Provides and interface with our CCS group, along with their Centre of Excellence to establish optimisations, improvements and develop key engineering parameters to be built into EPC-based projects.
* Manages the establishment of the mechanisms and specific processes and elements for external and internal progress monitoring and reporting against the project plan.
* Contributes to improving the efficiency in the delivery of projects across Kent.
* Work with discipline teams to resource projects.
* Manage projects in accordance with Kent procedures and best practice.

* Bachelor's degree as minimum, Engineering or similar.
* Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies, risk management, and safety standards in onshore and offshore environments.
* Master's degree in Engineering is preferable.
* Chartered Status preferred. Significant related project management experience working for Engineering/Client organisations in the Oil and Gas Industry.
* Professional project management qualification (APMP, PMI or similar) or appropriate experience in a project management role, preferably in an engineering design/consultancy environment.
Communication:
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Some European language knowledge would be desirable but not mandatory

* Direct and demonstrable experience of applying a range of project management principles and skills to deliver successful project outcomes on a range of engineering / technical projects.
* Able to travel to meet with internal and external stakeholders as required.
