We are working closely with one of our clients, a universal supplier of process chemistries into the global paper industry. They are looking for a Senior Account Manager ideally based in the South of England to be responsible for several clients within the UK. The successful candidate will exhibit technical and commercial acumen based upon extensive experience in paper manufacturing or associated supplier industries. This role will report to the General Manager, will be a senior member of the UK team and will be accountable for sales into key customers. Key responsibilities: Create, manage, and execute account plans. Line management of two technical service representatives. Build relationships with existing and prospective customers to understand their needs on both a local and corporate level. Develop an in-depth knowledge of your customer processes to enable troubleshooting and continuous improvement recommendations. Identify potential growth opportunities through a detailed understanding of the companies technologies, chemistries, and business needs. Utilise data analysis to form comprehensive and clear reporting for both the customer and company internally. Core Competencies: Extensive experience in the paper industry and/or paper chemicals business. A strong communicator and relationship builder across all organisational levels. Problem solver under pressure. Ability to define, deliver and lead projects. Data analysis and interpretation leading to clear, informative, and concise reporting. Collaboration across the wider team both in the UK and globally. Conscientious attitude to work to, and drive, the companies safe working practices. Qualifications/Skills: Preferable is a degree in a science based subject or business discipline. Proficient IT skills and highly competent with Microsoft packages. Ability to prioritise own workload and work on own initiative. Naturally inquisitive with good diagnostic skills. Able to demonstrate excellent organisational and planning skills. Experience of working on projects to deliver solutions in a high-pressure environment. Flexibility, adaptability, and good interpersonal skills.
