Target English International runs junior summer courses for English language students aged between 10-17. We have students from all over the world, with the majority being Italian, but we also have students from Spain, Portugal, Poland, Czech Republic, Argentina, and Cyprus, to name a few! Students usually stay for two weeks and participate in a mixed programme of lessons and activities/excursions run by Activity Leaders.
Our Mission: At Target English International, we aim to provide our students with a comfortable and caring setting in the UK to improve their communication in English and develop skills for a more global society. We want our students to leave the course with a better understanding of UK culture and the inspiration to become lifelong learners of English.
Overview of Role:
Job Title: Director of Studies
Line Manager: Centre Manager/Academic Manager
Pay Rate: Competitive, dependent on contract type + full-board accommodation and holiday pay
Dates: June to August
Hours: As required (typically 48 hours per week)
You are a competent teacher with significant experience in the EFL and summer school industry. You will have overall responsibility for the successful implementation and administration of all aspects of the academic programme, which includes managing the academic staff and their performance. In addition to optimizing our students’ academic programme and environment, you will also ensure their safety and well-being at all times. Management, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential requirements for this position. Our aim is to ensure our students make the most of their academic programme, and as Director of Studies, you will make this happen!

7. Staff will complete online Safeguarding and online Prevent training.
