Job summary The Darwin Centre for Young People The Darwin Centre is a 12-bed inpatient adolescent unit for young people from 13 to 18 years with severe mental health problems. This includes provision for three young people on our eating disorders pathway It is commissioned regionally by the EoE Providers' Collaborative, butthe principal catchment area is Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, and the surrounding counties. We have a full multidisciplinary team with nurses, health care assistants, a clinical nurse specialistand a ward manager. We have a range of specialists, including psychologists, systemic familytherapist, occupational therapist, dietician, speech and language therapist, social worker, art, and music therapy. The unit is an AMBIT and NVR informedservice. We run a DBT programme and can offer a range of evidence based psychological therapies. We are able to provide comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments to young people, in keeping with NICE guidance.
