The role involves working within the JS Fire Protection Team, carrying out a multitude of technical tasks in accordance with the BAFE and Company guidelines. As part of our team, you will receive ongoing training, support and development. We have great opportunities to help install and maintain work for our existing and new client base, these opportunities are in the domestic and commercial sectors, offering a wide range of fire services. You will be trained on Fuzion 4’s operating system and will be expected to gain an awareness of various fire systems, as well as learning industry terminology. This is a team-based role, but the ability to work confidently and effectively on your own initiative will be paramount. You must be well presented, a quick learner, and able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment. Duties can change from time to time subject to client’s requirements and change to the marketplace.
Contractual Information Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Probation Period: 6 Months Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm with a 30minute unpaid break for lunch Standby Duties: One in every four, subject to numbers of engineers. Salary: £34,000.00 - £38,000.00 per year dependant on experience and qualifications You will receive 22 days of paid holiday plus all UK statutory Bank Holidays, which increases with time served. You will be provided with the following: • Company Van (business use only) • Company Uniform • Company Mobile Phone (business use only) Main Responsibilities • Carry out servicing (including weekly testing) and fault finding/rectification across all disciplines of fire to the relevant industry standards (BAFE and IEE). • Compile comprehensive reports from all site visits. • Carry out standby duties as a part of a team rota. Particularly, those associated with Health and Safety. • To undertake training and development essential for the role. • To complete a 6-month probationary period and participate in annual appraisals with your line manager to monitor performance and set objectives. • To undertake any other reasonable duty, at the same level of responsibility, that has been requested by senior staff
