Ravensbury is a richly diverse school community at the heart of its local community, where different languages, cultures and religions learn together in harmony.
It is a friendly, caring school where everyone is passionate about ensuring our children have the best educational opportunities possible, academically, socially and emotionally.
Our children are encouraged to explore, discover and question through a range of exciting learning opportunities. It is a place where all pupils feel safe to take risks, enjoy learning and work hard to excel.
The Governors, staff and pupils of Ravensbury Community School are delighted to invite applications for a Headteacher who shares our love of learning, positivity, and big ambitions for the school, its children, staff, and community, leading and maintaining our outstanding standards of education and learning.
We Are Seeking
* An outstanding leader who will work openly and positively in close collaboration with all stakeholders to secure our continuing development as a school.
* Someone to support the whole school community to achieve its best and continue the strong leadership that has already been in place.
The recruitment of our next Headteacher follows the retirement of the school’s current Head, Maureen Hughes, who leaves after a highly successful 7 years in post and more than 36 years at the school. Ravensbury is looking for a visionary individual to build on these successes and springboard into the future.
Our New Headteacher Will
* Lead with vision, drive, compassion, and empathy.
* Demonstrate our school values of creativity, exploration, respect, and ambition.
* Be an innovative leader who can inspire and motivate others.
* Be passionate and committed to developing children’s learning.
* Have high expectations of all children and staff.
* Have the ability to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse community, ensuring the school sits at the heart of its community.
* Embrace opportunities to extend our provision.
* Recognise and nurture what makes our school unique.
* Have a collaborative and open, supportive style.
* Continue to maintain and promote a strong culture of safeguarding.
Our Children Ask That You Will
* Make everyone feel welcome, safe, and valued.
* Celebrate our strengths and differences.
* Listen to what we say, invite our challenge, and act on our feedback.
* Support and challenge us all so we can all reach our potential.
* Welcome our ideas and be happy to try new things.
We Can Offer
* A thriving, inclusive school with strong core values.
* A dedicated, energetic, and highly skilled staff team of around 70, committed to achieving the best outcomes for our children.
* Committed and active Governors who support the school and its team.
* A creative school where children are challenged and enjoy learning.
* A vibrant learning environment, with well-behaved and enthusiastic pupils who flourish.
* An exciting, well-organised, and animated environment in which to work.
* A fantastic community of parents and carers.
* A genuine chance to help shape the future of Ravensbury Community School.
* Opportunity for career and personal development.
* A strong school focus on staff and student wellbeing, with the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) available to all staff.
