Were now looking for a Health and Safety Coordinator to join our growing team based in Consett, County Durham. Within this role you will be responsible for driving a robust culture of compliance to all procedures and processes across our operations, ensuring that health, safety and environmental matters remain at the forefront of our colleagues minds. Using knowledge of industry best practice and current legislation, our Health & Safety Coordinator will: Drive and maintain the continual improvement of employee health, safety and welfare, as well as environmental management through communication, promotion and development. Manage the compliance audit processes and timely close-out of non-conformances. Provide hands on support for risk reduction activities. Lead investigations into any accidents, near misses or breaches of policy. Provide management information to allow ease of analysis and determination of root cause. Facilitate and coordinate policy development, maintenance and training. Input as required into capital and operational expenditure projects. To be successful in this role you will have the following qualities: Confident in advising managers and delivering all aspects of H&S management. Numerate, with the ability to produce and present reports and statistics. Credible influencer at all levels. Ability to work effectively with wide range of people inside and outside of the organisation. Strong ethics and integrity. Have good communication and organisational skills.
