What You’ll Be Doing:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support to students
* Assisting with lesson planning and delivery, ensuring students are engaged in the curriculum
* Supporting students during class discussions and group activities, encouraging creative thinking and effective communication
* Helping students with revision techniques and exam preparation, ensuring they are ready for assessments
* Encouraging students to develop critical thinking skills, analysis, and a passion for literature
* Supporting classroom management, ensuring a focused and productive learning environment
* Collaborating with the English department and other teaching staff to meet the needs of all students, including those with additional learning needs
What We’re Looking For:
* A 2:1 degree or higher in English, English Literature, or a related subject
* Strong academic background (A-levels/GCSE’s)
* A genuine passion for English and a desire to inspire students to achieve their best
* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and effectively
* Previous experience in tutoring or educational support is desirable but not essential
* Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to meeting individual student needs
* A proactive attitude, with a strong desire to support students in their academic and personal growth
* An interest in pursuing a career in education
