An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fully registered Surgical Care Practitioner to join the Cardiothoracic surgical team at The Golden Jubilee National Hospital. We have a busy unit with 6 cardiothoracic theatres.
As a member of the Cardiothoracic Surgical multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will work closely, under the guidance of the Cardiothoracic Surgeons, to provide support in the pre-, peri and post-operative care of the patients.
The successful applicant will also have the ability to work effectively and flexibly within the busy cardiothoracic department here at The Golden Jubilee National Hospital.
Working under the direction and supervision of the Cardiothoracic Surgeons, the successful applicants will assist senior and junior clinicians during cardiac and thoracic surgery.
You will be able to work autonomously in harvesting conduit for coronary artery bypass surgery, assist in all surgical procedures and contribute to the pre-, peri and post-operative care of the patients.
The successful candidates will also have the opportunity to train in and perform Endoscopic vessel harvesting.
