A leading environmental services provider is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their Environmental Fate team in Devon, South West England. They provide high quality marine and freshwater ecotoxicology, environmental fate and analytical chemistry services to the global pharmaceutical, agrochemical and wider industries. What Youll Do
In this role, you will work as part of an experienced team to support environmental fate studies. This will involve:
1. Maintaining chemical inventories and liaising with suppliers as needed.
2. Following SOPs and maintaining accurate, up-to-date records.
3. Operating and calibrating laboratory equipment, including preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
4. Supporting a positive culture of safety and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
5. Delivering high-quality results on time, working flexibly with team members to adapt to changing priorities.
6. Assisting in developing methods for environmental fate & physical chemistry studies.
7. Authoring analytical method protocols, SOPs, and reports.
Your Background And Skills
We are looking for candidates with:
1. A positive, can-do attitude with a desire to learn new skills.
2. Experience with HPLC, radiochemical detection techniques, and sample preparation for environmental matrices.
3. Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
4. A BSc or relevant experience.
