Job Description
We are seeking a data-driven and customer-focused Mobile App Reliability Engineer to join our mobile app development team. In this pivotal role, you will analyse app performance metrics, user feedback, and App Store reviews to identify areas for improvement and lead initiatives that enhance the app's performance and user experience. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to ensure the app meets performance goals and delivers an exceptional user experience.
As a Senior Mobile App Reliability Engineer, you will be embedded within the app development team, working closely with product, design, and operations teams. Your responsibilities will include ensuring technical solutions align with L&G Retirement Solutions' architectural principles, designs, and both functional and non-functional requirements. Additionally, you will ensure consistent monitoring, logging, and alerting are in place, delivering value to our customers.
What you'll be doing:
* Harnessing cutting-edge analytics to monitor and optimise key app performance metrics like speed, stability, resource usage, and user engagement.
* Pioneering the definition and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) and non-functional requirements.
* Leveraging user feedback and App Store reviews to uncover opportunities for improvement.
* Collaborating with product managers and UX designers to develop and prioritise initiatives that transform user feedback into an exceptional user experience.
* Integrating seamlessly with the development team to embed performance optimisation tasks and user experience enhancements into the software development life cycle.
* Conducting user research, surveys, and usability tests to gather insights and validate product improvements.
* Analysing the impact of optimisation efforts and providing recommendations for further enhancements.
Qualifications

* Comprehensive understanding of release, integration, and deployment processes.
* Expertise in observability principles and practices.
