This is a Fixed Term role for 3 years working full-time.
We invite you to join us in establishing the newly awarded National Centre for Self-Harm and Suicide Prevention (NCSHSP) and shaping a future where research leads to meaningful change. The successful applicant will join a thriving research team that has secured over £40M in joint funding over the last five years. Led by Professor Ann John, the team’s research focuses on self-harm and suicide prevention and child and adolescent mental health.
The NCSSHP, led by Swansea University in collaboration with Cardiff University, the University of South Wales, and Samaritans, will transform self-harm and suicide prevention by translating cutting-edge research into real-world impact. With a cross-government and cross-sectoral focus and established relationships in this sector, the Centre will drive innovative research, foster collaboration across disciplines, and build research capacity to develop evidence-based strategies for suicide and self-harm prevention.
The successful applicant will work alongside the Communications & Engagement Officer and Project Administrator to ensure the project meets its objectives within the agreed timescales and budgets. This role requires experience in managing and successfully delivering multi-partnered centre/projects, ideally within the field of mental health research.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and deliver multi-partnered projects effectively.
2. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across Wales and beyond.
3. Ensure project objectives are met within agreed timescales and budgets.
