The occupational therapist will be working within a small team This will be a full-time post of 37.5 hours a week. You will be based at the Civic centre at Castleford, whoever this will be subject to change soon. The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate the capacity to work independently but under the supervision of senior team members. You will receive clinical supervision / mentorship and a robust personal development plan to support and develop your practice. Main duties of the job You will be part of a team consisting of a manager band 7 occupational therapist, band 6/5 occupational therapists, alongside band 4 technical instructors. Once inducted we offer the option of hybrid working on a 40 percent home working and 60 percent office based. You will be responsible for moving and handling assessments/risk assessments, equipment and minor adaptation requests, and initial assessments for major adaptations. To independently and effectively self manage a defined caseload within the community occupational therapy team using evidence based, client centered principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. There is a requirement to keep up to date records using electronic care systems. To be responsible for the day to day supervision of junior staff and/or students within the team, as designated by the Occupational Therapy manager.
