Be part of the QinetiQ journey. Join us as a Project Manager within our UK Defence Team working on the Defence Digital Programme based at our Portsmouth office where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and many of the industry’s most brilliant minds.
The Role
As a Project Manager, you’ll have a role that is out of the ordinary. You would join the Systems Integration and Assurance portfolio, which sits, within the Defence Digital Business Stream. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of a range of customer-funded projects,within our Defence Digital Team. Day-to-day, you will develop and maintain positive engagement with project customers, partners and suppliers.
You will also be responsible for:
* Delivering project outputs to an agreed baseline across customer satisfaction, time, cost, quality, cash and sales
* Ensuring project members operate in line with QinetiQ's operating framework & functional competency management requirements and have appropriate personal objectives recorded in QinetiQ's performance management system
* Resolving conflicts within the project and collaborating across QinetiQ
* Maintaining forecasts for both financial and resource demand signalling for sales and delivery
* Applying governance requirements including lifecycle, project & independent reviews as appropriate for foundation sales and delivery work
This role is full-time, 37-hours per week, and based at our Portsmouth site with flexible, hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience for the Project Manager:
* Operating as a Project Manager within IT Communications, Information Assurance and Cyber Security
* Managing complex projects within a defence or delivering projects specifically to a defence contractor
* Project Management experience using Waterfall methodology
Qualifications for the Project Manager:
* Previous experience in a Project Management
* APM qualified or another comparable PM qualification
* The successful candidate must be willing to undergo DV Clearance, please see the link below for guidance
