Summary:
Caudwell Marine (CM) is a start-up business backed by the billionaire and philanthropist John Caudwell and is developing an innovative, patented outboard motor.
The CM organisation is a small, experienced team of people who are passionate about successfully bringing this technologically leading outboard motor to market. Each team member has a ‘hands on’ approach and supports each other for the benefit of the programme.
Reporting to the Caudwell Marine Commercial Director, the Sales & Business Development Manager will lead the Caudwell Marine sales operation for your area of geographic/category responsibility, acting as senior customer interface and voice-of-customer.
You will define & execute sales and distribution strategy to maximise Caudwell Marine market share, setting, achieving, and exceeding annual business objectives and you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers, representing Caudwell Marine to the highest professional standards.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Achieve Sales & Gross Margin metrics in line with business objectives.
2. Define and execute sales and distribution strategy to meet business objectives, with the related execution plan and organisation structure.
3. Define and manage portfolio of prospective and actual customers to ensure full market coverage for Caudwell Marine product solutions.
4. Utilise CRM system to effectively manage sales process and customer information.
5. Provide leadership to Sales team members, including Application Engineers, within your regional team.
6. Review organisation structure on a regular basis to ensure a capable, competent, and committed team is in place to deliver business objectives.
7. Define & execute customer / segment specific strategies to win market share: including most effective route to market product, price, and communication needs. Track and report progress.
8. Identify & track new business opportunities by country, liaising with other business functions to ensure a product road map is in place to exceed customer and market needs.
9. Define global competitor landscape by country where applicable, working with other business functions to ensure a competitive pricing to support Caudwell Marine market share growth.
10. Deliver price growth in line with business objectives and market potential.
11. Continually assess business operation to implement industry leading practice, that delivers lean but effective operating that can meet and exceed customer expectations.
12. Represent sales operations for business planning and performance tracking activities, working alongside other business functions and team members to deliver business objectives.
13. Act as senior customer escalation point to address customer and Caudwell Marine internal business issues.

11. Minimum of 5 years in manager / leadership position.
12. Ideally has also worked in a Small, Medium Enterprise (SME) and is able to demonstrate the ability to ‘roll their sleeves up’ and personally get things done as part of a small team.
13. High level of oral and written communication skills.
Other:
* Primary hours are 9am to 5pm however candidate needs to be flexible.
* 5-day week.
* Extensive travel required.

Pay: £80,000.00-£100,000.00 per year
