Design Manager A leading Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation contractor is seeking a Design Manager to work in their London office and on projects across London. This organisation delivers high-profile projects across sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Data Centre, Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and Power Generation in the UK, Ireland, and Mainland Europe. Roles and Responsibilities: Lead project BIM coordinators and manage project Revit Technicians' workloads. Liaise and coordinate with engineers, design teams, and third-party contractors. Collaborate with the BIM Manager to develop project programmes and BIM delivery strategies. Chair weekly coordination meetings and breakout workshops, compiling minutes and tracking action items. Implement BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project-specific standards. Manage master Revit MEP models, BIM 360 project workspaces, and fabrication CAD MEP project databases. Produce weekly updates for Navisworks models and issue clash detection reports. Oversee the creation of coordinated 2D Builderworks Drawings (BWIC) and services drawings. Track and report project progress regularly to the BIM Manager. Support the closeout of projects with “As Built” drawings and input to Operational & Maintenance Files. Ensure projects deliver value-driven solutions on time and within budget. Experience Required: Level 7 degree in an Engineering discipline or a trade background (e.g., electrician, plumber, fitter). Minimum of 6 years in a Lead BIM Coordinator role, managing workloads and project tracking. Proficient in: Autodesk AutoCAD (4 years' experience). Autodesk Revit (8 years' experience). Autodesk Navisworks (5 years' experience). Autodesk Fabrication MEP and Solibri Model Checker. Proven ability to: Coordinate M&E systems in 3D (pipework, ventilation, containment, lighting, sprinklers, and plant). Create 2D construction issue drawings. Read and interpret architectural and M&E drawings. Experience on at least three BIM projects valued over £1 million.
