The role is responsible for the efficient collection and appraisal of vehicles. This position provides comprehensive sales support across all functions within the car buying process (CCB), ensuring that purchasing and margin goals are met. Additionally, the role collaborates closely with our logistics partners to enhance collection performance and accuracy, and works closely with auction partners to ensure each vehicle is marketed correctly the first time. These efforts contribute to the overall effectiveness and success of the business operations.Key Accountabilities: Leadership: Responsible for quality monitoring and staff training needs. Undertake performance reviews with your team. Utilise coaching, KPI’s and your experience to ensure that all Team Members are supported and continue to develop their skills and experience. Financial: To effectively manage expenditure in line with operating budget Prompt vehicle collection: Collecting vehicles within set KPI’s Vehicle Appraisal Accuracy: Determining the correct value of vehicles during appraisal to ensure they are marketed correctly and meet margin goals. Collaboration with Partners: Choosing the most effective ways to collaborate with logistics and auction partners to enhance collection performance and accuracy. Sales Support: Providing timely and effective sales support to various functions within the car buying process to ensure smooth operations. Compliance and Standards: Ensuring all processes comply with company standards and industry regulations. Continuous Improvement: Driving a culture of continuous improvement within the team and across the organisation, which involves identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions. General: Perform any other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business and support overall operational success. Decision Making: Balancing the need to meet purchasing and margin goals while maintaining high standards of service and compliance. How to collect and analyse data to ensure it accurately reflects process performance. What mechanisms to put in place to ensure that best practices are consistently followed and updated as necessary. What resources (people, tools, training) are needed to ensure volume and margin targets are met. Skills & Experience Required: Ability to lead and motivate teams towards achieving operational excellence. Proven experience in operations management, process improvement, or a similar role. Experience in vehicle appraisal and collection processes. Knowledge of the automotive market and vehicle valuation techniques Experience providing sales support and working closely with sales teams to achieve business objectives. Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage external relationships. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and business strategies. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with logistics and auction partners.
