Hays are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Permit Scheme Co-ordinator to join our Highway Works Permit Team. In this role, you will provide essential technical support to ensure the effective and efficient running of customer-focused services. Your work will help the Council meet its obligations under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Highways Act 1980, and Traffic Management Act 2004. You will play a crucial role in coordinating all highway work to maintain traffic flow and minimise disruption to the network.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support within the Highway Works Permit Team.
* Ensure the effective and efficient running of customer-focused services.
* Coordinate all highway works to maintain traffic flow and minimise disruption.
* Liaise with internal and external work promoters to minimise disruption on the public highway in Solihull and neighbouring highway authority areas.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Strong understanding of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Highways Act 1980, and Traffic Management Act 2004.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills.
* Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
